so it hasn't really sunk in yet, but its been a couple days since my very last collegiate class. at least until i start grad school but I dont have to think about that for right now. So thursday afternoon at 4:15 I walked out of history II and that was it. I still have 3 finals and one project for finance so its not quite over yet, but its getting there. Friday evening lisa finn and I celebrated my 22nd birthday starting with a trip to dynasty. Finn and I polished off a scorpion bowl, then we went back to my house for some jager and the three of us, michaela and eric went to dave and busters where finn and I proceeded to drink way to much.

Fighting a moderate hangover I woke up on saturday and lisa and I went to a toyota dealership to test drive a Scion model Tc. Im about 100 percent sure its the car I want, it has a lot of standard features, some nice add ons and its a great price for a new car. After the drive we headed over to her brothers house who was having a cinco de mayo party which was pretty fun. everything was going just fine until we strung up the piniata and Navin wacked his friend steph square in the nose with a wiffle bat. Luckily we werent using anything heavier, she was relatively ok, just a little blood.

today (sunday) finn and i went to bestbuy to get a camcorder for his dad. Later in the afternoon my mother sister and I went to the house of someone who is selling puppies. We have been considering getting new goldens for a while now, and since ill be home after graduation, my mom is ready to buy. Without trying to sound oversensitive it was love at first sight. The pup we met was adorable. He is about 6 weeks old right now, a very deep brown-gold and was full of energy. We played with him for about an hour and after some small discussion my mom put a deposit down, he should be an official member of the family by next wednesday. Weer going to call him Liam. With any luck we may also get his sister, who may or not be available, we will find out tomorrow.

Im on the train right now heading back to boston and will probably be going to bed shortly after I get home. My sister is supposed to be sending me pics of the dog from her phone, so I may post that later on

The tale of the worst spring break ever [Mar. 8th, 2009|11:03 pm]
So before I address the title, there has been a few months since I last updated.

08 wound down nicely and winter break started on december 4th for me. Christmas was nice, new years was very quiet. On January 6th me, Lisa her friend, her brother and two of his friends all got in a plane and went to france for about 2 weeks. It was really cool we got to see all the sights, unfortunately I have been too lazy to upload any pics, maybe next time. Thanks to the economy which is getting worse every day, I have been having a miserable time in my job search. Also the last two weeks before spring break were pretty shitty with regards to school work.
Now, france was great as I just said, but it wasn't your typical rest and relax vacation, but rather an exhausting sight seeing experience. So with that being said my last real vacation was three years ago when I went to florida with james. And even though I wasn't going anywhere, I was highly looking forward to a week off.

Then it began.

The wednesday before break, I woke up with a mild sore throat, and thought nothing of it.

That night as I tried to go to sleep, I developed a post-nasal drip. The reflexive swallow associated with it kept me from sleeping for most of the night until I pounded some nyquil around 3 AM. That morning I had to get up to study for a test I had yet to study for, felt greeeeat. Luckily after that test I was officially on spring break because the swallowing at that point was killing me. I went to bed early that night because I had work in the morning.

Work that day was shitty and I started coughing a little. I went to sleep early again because I had a meeting the next morning really early at work.

Saturday I felt a little better but was still coughing, after the meeting I went back to RI Saturday night Lisa and I hung out with Pat, we went to a bar on thayer called spats. Despite being a little too loud, it was a fun night.

Sunday was about the same, I began to get achy and weak though. It was snowing that night so i went back to boston because I had work on monday.

By the time I got home on monday I was feeling pretty shitty. Our driveway was full of snow, and my dad was really sick so it was up to me to shovel and plow it. I took a couple nyquil pills and went to bed. When I finally woke up it was 3 in the afternoon. head throbbing, fever high. For the first time in over 4 years I was legit sick.

On wednesday, I felt slightly better but I was still coughing pretty bad, and I just stayed in bed most of the day. that night Lisa and I went bowling with Michaela and Eric.

Thursday was worse again. I woke up at 1, went to the computer for about 15 minutes, then went back to bed and laid there dozing for another few hours. I went to bed early, work in the morning.

Friday morning as I woke up, my eyes didn't open right away, I had pink eye. I didn't feel like total shit while at work, but my cough was getting worse. I went to see Watchmen that night with Pat, his girlfriend and his little brother. It was a pretty good movie.

Saturday my mom woke me up around 2ish and I finally caved and went to see the doctor. I was diagnosed with sinusitis conjunctivitis and bronchitis that was trying to become pneumonia but had failed, which I guess is good? I got 4 perscriptions went home and hung out in bed until bedtime.

So its sunday night now today was a little better I suppose, still coughing with a bad headache, but ill probably still feel bad tomorrow which will make it a total of 13 sick days, that may be a personal record.

excluding the days I worked, I have probably averaged 22 hours per day in bed, pretty sad. and thats the tale of the worst spring break ever.

New efforts [Oct. 23rd, 2008|12:54 am]
It seems my efforts on this project have severely dwindled over the last couple of years. However there is always new hope. I am currently working on an autobiography for one of my classes in school. It is due next tuesday so I'm trying to work as much as possible each night in order to prevent an all-night marathon next monday. The minimum is expected to be somewhere around 20 pages, which initially seemed difficult, until i remembered this wonderful journal i have been working on for roughly eight years. So my book has turned from an annoying effort to a simple task of read, copy and paste. I am now at 10 pages single spaced, so i could techincally end it right now, but I have only entered writings from the year 2002. I still have a long way to go. As i am reading i realize how nice it is to relive exactly what i did on a particular day in time, however boring or simple it may be. It is because of this that I have decided to make a more conscious effort to relight the candle on my online journal, incase one day I make a second half to the autobiography.

I will start with today. Wednesdays are one of my easier days, which is ironic because i only have class 3 days a week. This is certainly the easiest though. The one class I have is at 430 and is supposed to end at 7, but we always get out early as with most once a week classes. The teacher is a Jesuit priest, but you would never know it unless you saw him with a collar on. He constantly curses in class, frequently insults students for their remarks or actions, and today he not only threatened to kill us if we did not come prepared with questions for a guest speaker next week, but he also proceeded to serve us all beer during the intermission simply because our case study for the week was on the Boston Beer Company. In other words he is a great teacher.

After class I returned to the dorm to make some dinner. Spoke with Lisa, and began working on the autobiography. I went from about 3 pages to about 12, most of the text being directly from this journal a wonderful testiment to both my extreme laziness and extreme intuitiveness. Then i attempted to work on a case report for my venture capitalism class, but the reading was 30 pages, and we get one freebie we can skip, so I chose this week and got back to the autobiography.

As i was reading through i noticed many things that annoy me about my writing, including but not limited to the poor grammar, spelling, punctuation, use of speech, and free flow of thoughts which in many cases were completely random. Clearly I have grown up, but I do intend to change most of those things. Another thing that I really did not like was how in almost every old entry I write as if I am talking with someone, probably an effect of using AIM too much, and at the end of entries I would always say goodbye in one way or another. This will certainly end.

I have a great deal of work coming up in the next few days. On top of this autobiography I have another paper due in Chinese classical philosophy on the same day and a midterm the next. School will be over soon and I will be able to complain about how much I dislike work.

to demonstrate how well i take care of this journal, you can see if you look to the right of this entry on my main page a little blurb i wrote about the end of high school...and im half way done with college now. Also directly belolw that is a link to my now dead cartoon site, which is very depressing, ill have to work on restoring that this summer, i know how popular it was with the fans.

anyway, school is very diffucult. very. it seems like i have tests every week. usually more than one on a particular day, or quizes or papers, which are all very hard. one of my teachers actually gives a participation grade out of 100 % which equals a total of 10 % of our grade, mine is as of a couple weeks ago, somehow a 15.2%.

yesterday, lisa drove up to boston to see me, which has become the norm. we went to a sushi buffet, and although im not a big seafood lover, i had some. we also went shopping at some stores near the restaurant, but she didnt find anything she liked. after, we went back to my dorm for a little and played monopoly with the guys. then as we were leaving we found her car wouldnt start and she became very distressed becasue she was supposed to be at work at 5. she called her manager and told him what was happening and he told her to try and get someone to cover, she called sever people to no avail and eventually when she called back to say she hadnt found anyone, there was a new manager there who screamed at lisa saying she pulls shit like this all the time, when in fact lisa has never called out without finding someone to cover, even going so far as to come in to work the day her car was smashed into by a construction truck, destroying the passengers side rear door and window. on top of that she is frequently called in when many of the other employees simply dont show up to work and dont even attempt to find replacements. eventually however, I got a friend to give the car a jump and we headed home, getting back a little after 730. she called work again but the they told her not to bother coming in. An interesting day to say the least.

today its a little after 1 and i have just woken up. i will be studying for 2 tests for most of the day, which i have on tuesday, and a paper due wednesday. I also have to meet for one of my group projects and i think they might want to do the whole thing today just to get it out of the way soo that could take quite a while.

wednesday i will be home for a nice mini break which lasts until the following monday, hooray catholic shool! after that it is 4 short weeks until summer returns.

Well so much for following my 2 year old trend of writing every day at the begining of the year. I dont see why i never really come to this site anymore, im online all the time. Anyway things have been pretty good latley. Im currently taking a short break from studying from the three tests I have tomorrow, which is a severe hit to my level of happiness. I have been worrying about this day for about 2 weeks now, and been studying all week.

This past weekend was very nice. I went home and spent the entire time with lisa as we celebrated a late valentines day and had a wonderful duck diner together at my house on saturday night. We also played alot of her newly aquired Nintendo Wii which is very cool. We had plans to go to an indoor zoo at the convention center, but never made it. We got to see James and Phaedra for a little on Sunday afternoon which was nice cause I havent seen them in a while. I was helping James with his new website for the CW track team.

I was also home for the weekend because my family went down to florida and macintosh needed taking care of. I came back to school monday and lisa and james are helping take care of mac while im here. Ill be heading back to cranston for the weekend again on thursday after class.

Other than that everything is pretty normal. Spring break starts next thursday which is great. Ill be spending a lovley week in cranston, as i get to work the entire time because i am so utterly poor. Hopefully however Campbell has come up with a solution to our money woes, he seems to think he has found a very interesting employment oportunity for the both of us with information fourthcoming. Perhaps this summer I can attempt to advance out of debt if he comes through on this one.

2006 [Dec. 31st, 2006|06:48 pm]
I did a really shitty job of updating this semester. I thought i should try once more before the end of 06. allthough in years past, come new year I get a revival and start updating daily.

I have been going out with Lisa for about 6 months now, which is very nice, I really love her. Being an far away isnt very easy, but we see eachother as much as we can, and although it was origionaly planned to be once every other week, it turned into 2 to 4 days a week. Next semester should be easier though seeing as combined we have much more time off than in first semester.

This semester was pretty normal. I have started running again, and am in nearly the shape i was in high school, though i dont feel like it. My grades were nothing special. And suddenly we are here on christmas break once again. The years really do move faster all the time.

For christmas I got a GPS for my car, which is pretty cool, A nice womans voice inside tells me where to go.

Happy new years everyone

so school started today. everythings pretty much all settled in. i thought i was just going to have one class today, and nothing else, instead i had 2 classes and 2 meetings and i had to practice at a weird time because of one of the meetings, oh well. its still weird not seeing lisa every day all the time, and another meeting on thursday has destroyed plans to see her then. i still have to put up all my pictures and stuff, but other than that iv got everything where i want it to be. sox game tomorrow, and everything seems to be good.

is summer really over already? i have gotten so used to doing nothing whatsoever. this summer is about 5 weeks longer than anything iv ever had before, and it still flew by. i stopped working before last week because i thought i was going back to school on monday, but things changed. so i get another week of doing nothing. im probably going to move my stuff in tomorrow because all of my roomates are already there. im pretty much all packed and ready to go. i really cant believe how fast 3 and a half months moved. this will certainly be an interesting year.

this month has been great.

i have been going to the beach alot more than last summer

although one of the 6 flags trips sucked last weeks was alot of fun.

going to newport and cliffwalk and capital grille with lisa was very nice, as is everything we do together.

there are still alot of things i want to do this summer, and there is a month left. hopefully it will all happen.

i havent been to the bank in a long time, and even though i have alot of money saved up, most of it is going right out the other end of my checkbook, as i owe my mom alot of money, and lisa and alli a little money.

went to lisas today. it was pouring outside, there was pretty much nothing to do. we played super mario on SNES and some other games. went to smokey bones for diner, pat durigan met up with us and they talked about their movie, and pretty much were only able to come up with the idea that the main character was going to be a man. went over campvbells afterwoods and watched seven, well most of it. and what i saw was pretty good.
